Shaun Simpson has been a stalwart of British and international motocross for nearly two decades. Hailing from Gauldry in Fife, Scotland, Shaun grew up in a motocross family, with his father being a former racer. He quickly rose through the ranks, turning professional in 2004. Shaun’s career has been characterized by his perseverance and tenacity, consistently performing at the highest levels, despite numerous injuries and setbacks. He became known as one of the few riders able to compete with factory-backed teams while running his own privateer effort.
In 2021, Shaun made the difficult decision to retire from full-time racing, transitioning into a managerial role with the Gabriel SS24 KTM team. His deep understanding of the sport and passion for motocross has allowed him to contribute significantly to the development of young riders, guiding them with the experience gained from his successful career. Even though he has stepped away from racing, Shaun remains a respected figure in the motocross community, continuing to influence the sport through his new role.
